Focus Indulgens - news

SCROLL DOWN FOR ENGLISH VERSION



Importanti novità per i Focus Indulgens. Il gruppo di Montepulciano (SI) entrerà in studio in Agosto per le registrazioni del secondo album, Hic Sunt Leones. Già dal titolo si sottolinea come il carattere del nuovo disco sia differente rispetto al ben accolto debutto. Che i fan dunque attendano un sorprendente e cangiante distillato di prog beat doom all'insegna dell'originalità, caratteristica a quanto pare fondante per il trio toscano. Altra novità di rilievo, il disco sarà cantato interamente in italiano.
Le registrazioni avverranno ancora una volta nei Rokkaforte Studio dell'eccellente Matteo Burico, in quel di Castiglione del Lago (PG), in presa diretta come già avvenuto per il precedente lavoro. Inoltre, siamo lieti di annunciare la presenza sul disco come ospite - in qualità di flautista extraordinaire - di Ginevra degli amici romani Hands Of Orlac, supporter da lunga pezza.
L'uscita è prevista per l'autunno tramite Doomymood Records, nei formati CD e LP con copertina apribile.

L'album rappresenterà anche l'ultima prova in studio del chitarrista Federico Rocchi con i Focus Indulgens. Il gruppo è alla ricerca di un sostituto che possa dedicarsi a tempo pieno alla causa e disposto a supportarne l'attività dal vivo. Siamo fiduciosi che la situazione possa risolversi per il meglio nel più breve tempo possibile.
Il prossimo impegno live in Inghilterra vedrà l'amico Guido Tiberi (Axevyper, Turbomass, Assedium, ecc.) alla chitarra, mentre il festival Malta Doom Night di Novembre vedrà il momentaneo e fatale rientro del titolare Federico Rocchi. Le altre date dal vivo confermate sono riportate in calce.

ENGLISH VERSION




Some important news from Focus Indulgens. The Montepulciano (SI) based band will enter the studios in August for the recording of their second album, titled Hic Sunt Leones (Here Are Lions). Title also represents band's renewed approach to music, way different from what the well-received debut shows. So, fans should wait for a surprising and changeable distillate of prog beat doom. Originality seems to be a fundamental characteristic of the Tuscan trio. Last but not least, the album will be entirely sung in Italian.
Recordings will take place once again in the Rokkaforte Studio of Matteo Burico in Castiglione del Lago (PG), and it's going to be a live in the studio affair as it was for the first album. Besides, we are pleased to announce Ginevra (of our long-standing friends and supporters Hands Of Orlac from Rome) as a guest and flutist extraordinaire.
The release is scheduled for next autumn through Doomymood Records in CD and gatefold LP formats.

The album will also be the last test in the studio with Focus Indulgens of guitarist Federico Rocchi. The band is already looking for a replacement who can devote to the cause full time and is willing to support its live activities. We are confident that this will be solved for the best in the shortest possible time.
Next show in England will see our friend Guido Tiberi (Axevyper, Turbomass, Assedium, etc.) on guitar, while the Malta Doom Night Festival in November will see the momentary and fatal return of Federico Rocchi. Scroll down for all the confirmed live shows, as of today.

    the best italian (and unique?)doom underground label.the past from focus indulgens is one of the best doom metal album of the last year, very intense and obscure played with passion and alcholism..support doomymood..support the underground
